Dr. HEIDI WEISS (TCM)

Acupuncturist

Heidi is the founder and director of AcuHealth Acupuncture Clinic, which first opened its doors in September of 2004 in The Grange on Brisbane’s northside. Since then, Heidi’s commitment and passion to Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine led to the exponential growth of the clinic. In 2010, AcuHealth moved to a larger clinic in the heart of Wilston. At the end of 2022, Heidi relocated to the Sunshine Coast for family reasons and made the tough decision to close AcuHealth Brisbane after 18 years of service.

Heidi is a highly experienced and passionate acupuncturist with a wealth of knowledge on women’s health, pregnancy, fertility support and hormonal imbalances.  Heidi has been a practising acupuncturist for over 20 years, facilitating the wider Brisbane community. Heidi has a respected reputation in the fertility and pregnancy support field of acupuncture, collaborating alongside fertility specialist, IVF clinics, obstetricians, and endocrinologist. Heidi’s particular interest in Women’s Health, was ignited at a young age, through her early studies and personal experience with hormonal imbalance. She discovered a whole new realm of thinking, diagnosing, and treating women’s health conditions, which encompassed hormonal imbalances, pregnancy support, post-natal care, menopause, and fertility, both natural and assisted (IVF, IUI). It was from there that she took a deeper dive into understanding and treating many women’s health complaints.

Heidi has a sound knowledge of Western and Eastern medicine and strongly believes and understands that an integrative and holistic approach works best. Heidi’s commitment and passion for developing a personal connection with her clients have led to a caring and skilled health practitioner.  With her broad knowledge of the human body and her personal enthusiasm for all things health and wellness, she enjoys educating and supporting clients in their wellness journey.

Heidi holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) and is a registered Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).

 

 

Dr. ANTHEA WATSON (TCM)

B.H.Sc (Acu)

Acupuncturist

Anthea has been an integral part of the AcuHealth team for over 10 years. Obtaining additional experience in the field of female health and fertility with practical training in IVF and IUI support.

Since the closure of AcuHealth Brisbane in November 2022, Anthea has moved just around the corner at Vibe Health.

 

 

Dr. CHRISTIN ZELLER (TCM)

B.H.Sc (Acu)

Acupuncturist

Christin joined AcuHealth in 2018 as an international student, completing a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) degree to become a doctor of Chinese medicine. Since graduating,  Christin has assumed the role of a licensed acupuncturist at AcuHealth.

Since the closure of AcuHealth Brisbane, Christin is just around the corner at The Brisbane Osteopathic Centre in Cramond St, Wilston.

 

CLARE PAULEY

Medical Receptionist

Clare joined the AcuHealth team over 11 years ago as our receptionist. She is an integral part of the AcuHealth family and provides a great first impression for our valued clients. She is always caring and respectful when clients phone for appointments and tries to accommodate any varying needs. Clare has a vibrant, loving and happy personality. She juggles a variety of skills with the ability to multitask with ease.

Clare’s interests are cooking, reading and all things New Zealand.

The closure of AcuHealth Brisbane leads Clare to a fun-filled retirement with her beautiful family and friends.

SOPHIE GILL SHAW

Medical Receptionist

Sophie is the newest member of the AcuHealth team, joining Clare in reception. She is enthusiastic about keeping the clinic neat, organised, and running smoothly. During the days she is not working with us she runs her own small business helping people declutter and get organised in their spaces.

Sophie loves gardening, yoga, cooking, and listening to podcasts. Please say hello to her if you see her in reception.

With the closure of AcuHealth Brisbane, Sophie injected more time into her other flourishing business and we couldn’t be prouder.
